What is Acid Peptic Disease?
“Acid peptic disease” is a collective term used to include many conditions such as gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastritis, gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, esophageal ulcer, Zollinger Ellison Syndrome (ZES) and Meckel’s diverticular ulcer.
The commonest ulcers are the gastric and the duodenal ulcer

Recovery depends on the type of medications used, diet and lifestyle of the individual usually it may take from few days to weeks.
Diagnosis
Diagnosis is done by complete physical examination of the epigastric discomfort or pain and medical history of the symptoms, other tests like blood or stool tests, endoscopy may be recommended.
