Prevention Tips

  There is no prevention for acne, but there are steps you can take at home to keep acne from getting worse.
  • Gently wash and care for your skin every day. Avoid scrubbing too hard or washing too often.
  • Avoid heavy sweating. Wash soon after activities that cause you to sweat.
  • Wash your hair often if your hair is oily. Try to keep your hair off of your face.
  • Avoid touching your face with un-cleaned hands
  • Avoid exposure to oils and harsh chemicals, such as petroleum
  • Limit alcohol intake 
  • Stop smoking                                                                
  • Exercise regularly
  • Avoid using oily skin and hair products
  • Do not use soaps which make skin to be dried up and tight
  • Drink plenty of water 8-10 glasses everyday
  • Do not squeeze pimples this may worsen the problem 
  • Wash your pillowcase and sheets frequently so that they are not depositing oil and dirt back onto your clean skin.
  • Shave carefully and lightly
