Symptoms
Symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis vary from person to person. For some, joint symptoms develop gradually over several years. In others, rheumatoid arthritis may progress rapidly, while in some people the symptoms come and go depending on the degree of tissue inflammation.The common symptoms include
- Numbness or tingling in the hands
- Pain in the foot heel
- Dryness of the eyes, mouth, nose, throat, or skin
- Aching in joints
- Stiffness in the joints in morning along with pain
- Locked joints, particularly in the knees and elbows (inability to move)
- Firm lumps (nodules) grow under the skin near the affected joints
- Loss of energy
- Low fevers
- Weight loss
- Loss of appetite
- Feel fatigue and anaemic
- Pain, swelling and decreased motion of the affected area
