Symptoms

Swelling deep inside the skin normally at the affected organ or part.

Feeling hot and painful.

Sometimes itchy.

If it affects throat there will be difficulty in breathing.

If it affects eyes there will be problem in vision.

If it is hereditary, the symptoms are tummy pain, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting.

Swelling in bladder causes difficulty in passing urine.
Causes
Depending on the type of angioedema, the cause varies. In fact there might be no identifiable cause.

Allergic AE: is caused by animal dander, foods, insect bites, and exposure to water, sunlight, cold or heat.

Idiopathic AE: there is no cause but stress and infections trigger the swelling.

Drug induced AE: this is due to side-effect of medication.

Hereditary AE: this is due to faulty genes from your parents.
