Foods to be taken

Enzyme supplements such as bromelain or combination enzyme products (e.g. Wobenzym) may help to reduce tissue swelling associated with carpal tunnel syndrome. The main source of bromelain is pine apple.

Vegetables rich in folic acid as these types of vegetables will help build muscles and reduce swelling in the tissues.

Fresh fruits in the diet are also essential for a patient with carpal tunnel syndrome. These fruits will provide the essential minerals and vitamins for the growth of muscles. Potassium is available in bananas.
Foods to be avoided

Minimum salt intake in their diet when suffering from this syndrome because salt causes the retention of water in the tissues which makes them swells.

Fatty And oily foods. These foods will cause the tissues to swell in a similar way to that of salt.
Yoga and Exercise
- Stand up straight and extend both arms straight out in front of you
- Extend your wrists and fingers acutely as if they were giving a "stop" signal. Hold this position for 5 seconds

Now straighten your wrists while relaxing your fingers
- Keeping your wrists straight, make a fist and squeeze it tightly. Hold for 5 seconds
- Keeping your fists clenched, bend your wrists down. Hold this position for 5 seconds
- Straighten both wrists and relax your fingers again
- Repeat this series 5-10 times, then relax your arms by your sides
