Prevention Tips
- Do not touch or rub the infected eye
- Wash your hands with a disinfectant frequently
- Avoid exposure to eye irritants such as perfumes and smoke.
- Change pillow covers frequently
- Avoid wearing eye makeup and do not share it with anyone
- Disinfect lenses, also clean and disinfect storage case.
- Never wear another person contact lenses.
- Wear eyeglasses instead of contact lenses or Do not wear contact lenses until eyes are entirely clear of conjunctivitis.
- Throw away or machine wash towels, tissues and other items that touch the eyes after each use.
- Avoid sharing common articles such as unwashed towels and glasses.
- Wash your hands after applying the eye drops or ointment to your eye or your child eye.
- Practice good hygiene
- Avoid going outside stay at home until the symptoms relapse
- Protect your eyes from dust, pollution and chemicals
