Food and Nutrition
Foods to be taken- Rice, especially brown rice
- Cooked green vegetables, such as broccoli, spinach, Swiss chard, or collards
- Cooked orange vegetables, such as carrots or sweet potatoes
- Cooked or dried non-citrus fruits: cherries, cranberries, pears, prunes
- Drink 6-8 glasses of water every day
- Modest amounts of salt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract can be well-tolerated.
- Dairy products, chocolate, eggs, citrus fruits, meat, wheat (bread, pasta, etc.), nuts and peanuts, tomatoes, onions, corn, apples, bananas
- Alcoholic beverages (especially red wine), caffeinated drinks (coffee, tea, and colas)
- Foods that increase migraine like Cheese, chocolate, paneer, chinese food, ajinomoto, nuts must be strictly avoided
Yoga and Exercise

Exercise can improve the quality of sleep and reduce the frequency and severity of migraine headaches. Indoor cycling exercise is beneficial to migrane sufferers

Home Remedies
- Donot smoke
- Reduce emotional stress
- Eat meals and snacks at about the same times every day, and get enough sleep at night
- Follow your headache treatment plan as suggested by the doctor
- Avoid bright or flashing lights and wear sunglasses if sunlight is a trigger
- Identify and avoid foods that trigger headaches
