A prescribed physical therapy program of stretching, strengthening and low impact aerobic conditioning is usually a part of most sacroiliitis or sacroiliac joint dysfunction treatment regimens. The therapy may be done by a physical therapist.Yoga poses which help in relieving pain include:
- Legs Up the Wall Pose
- Supine Hip Rotator Stretch
- Basic Leisure Pose with Legs Elevated
- Cobra Pose

- Rest your joints
- Use heat or ice over the area to simulate blood flow and healing nutrients to the area
- Change your sleeping position sleep on the side and place a pillow between your knees during rest
- Massage can also help relieve pain
- Avoid activities that aggravate your pain
