Symptoms Of Tetanus
The incubation period is usually eight days but may range from three days to three weeks
- Headache
- Chills
- Jaw cramping
- Sudden, involuntary muscle tightening (muscle spasms)
- Painful muscle stiffness all over the body
- Difficulty in swallowing
- Jerking or staring (seizures)
- Fever and sweating
- High blood pressure and fast heart rate
Causes Of Tetanus
Tetanus is caused by the toxin (poison) produced by the bacteria, Clostridium tetani.
