Foods to be taken- Milk and milk products are good sources of vitamin B12
- It also include poultry, fish, beans, cheese, eggs, and nuts
- Fish and red meat are excellent sources of vitamin B12. Poultry and eggs also contain vitamin B12
- If you do not eat animal products taking a B12-containing multivitamin and eating breakfast cereal fortified with vitamin B12 will be beneficial
- Some breakfast cereals, nutritional yeasts and other food products like bread that are fortified with vitamin B12
- Fermented soyabeans and fermented vegetables including tea leaves
- Within the plant world, sea plants (like kelp), algaes (like blue-green algae), yeasts (like brewers yeast), and fermented plant foods (like tempeh, miso, or tofu) are the most commonly consumed food sources of vitamin B12
Foods to be avoided
Reduce intake of fried fatty foods, salt, sugar and other sugary products and foods that are enriched with saturated fats
