Abacavir is an antiviral medicine that prevents human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) from multiplying in your body. In combination with other antiretroviral agents for the treatment of HIV-1 infections. Abacavir is not a cure for HIV or AIDS.
Lamivudine is an antiviral medication. It prevents the multiplication of the virus in human cells. This stops the virus from producing new viruses and clears up your infection. Lamivudine is used in the treatment of HIV infection and chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection.

Precautions for ABAMUNE L 600MG/300MG TAB and its Constituents

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of hepatitis B, kidney disease, pancreas disease, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.  It may cause drowsiness or dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Avoid alcohol consumption. It should not be used in children less than 2 years old. It may affect blood sugar level; monitor sugar level regularly while taking this medication. Do not have unprotected sex or share razors or toothbrushes. Talk with your doctor about safe ways to prevent HIV transmission during sex. Sharing drug or medicine needles is never safe, even for a healthy person.
