Overview
ACIPSOR 10MG CAP is an Over-the-counter (OTC) drug.ACIPSOR 10MG CAP is composed of: ACITRETIN (10.0 MG)
Acitretin is a retinoid, which is a form of vitamin A. Acitretin is used to treat severe psoriasis in adults. Acitretin is not a cure for psoriasis, and you may relapse after you stop taking this medication. Can cause birth defects. Don’t take this medication if you are pregnant or plan to be pregnant for at least 3 years after you stop treatment. Common side effects include dry skin, chapped lips, and hair loss.

How Do I Take It?
ACIPSOR 10MG CAP is generally taken With Food.Precautions for ACIPSOR 10MG CAP and its Constituents
- Acitretin can cause severe birth defects. Do not use acitretin if you are pregnant or if you might become pregnant within 3 years after you stop taking this medicine.
- Women who are able to get pregnant must not drink alcohol while taking acitretin and for at least 2 months after the last dose. Alcohol can cause acitretin to convert to another substance in your body that can take 3 years or longer to clear from your body.
- Men or women should not donate blood while taking acitretin and for at least 3 years after the last dose. If donated blood containing acitretin is given to a pregnant woman, it could cause birth defects.
- Acitretin can cause serious liver problems. Stop taking this medicine and call your doctor right away if you have symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, dark urine, or jaundice (yellowing of your skin or eyes).
- Before taking acitretin, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it or to vitamin A-related drugs (other retinoids such as isotretinoin); or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems.
- Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of kidney disease, heart disease, diabetes, personal or family history of mental/mood problems, receive phototherapy.
- This medication may make you more sensitive to the sun. Limit your time in the sun. Avoid tanning booths and sunlamps. Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors.
- Acitretin may cause vision changes, including decreased night vision. Do not drive, use machinery, or do any activity that requires clear vision (especially at night) until you are sure you can perform such activities safely.
- Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medication and for 2 months after stopping it.
