Overview
ASPORELIX 0.25MG INJ is a Schedule H drug.ASPORELIX 0.25MG INJ is composed of: CETRORELIX (0.25 MG)
Cetrorelix is a man-made form of a protein that blocks the effects of certain hormones in the body that control ovulation (release of an egg from the ovary). If ovulation occurs too soon during fertility treatment, the eggs may not be suitable for fertilization. Cetrorelix works by preventing eggs from being released too early (premature ovulation).Cetrorelix is used to prevent premature ovulation during controlled ovarian stimulation.Cetrorelix is used in the treatment of female infertility. In females undergoing treatment for infertility, sometimes premature ovulation can lead to the release of eggs which are not ready for fertilisation. Cetrorelix blocks the action of a natural hormone and prevents premature release of the eggs from the ovary. In males, Cetrorelix lowers the amount of testosterone (a male hormone) produced by the body. This may slow or stop the spread and growth of prostate cancer cells that need testosterone to grow.
