BIDURET TAB is a Schedule H drug.

BIDURET TAB is composed of: HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE (50 MG), AMILORIDE (5 MG)

HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide) is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps prevent your body from absorbing too much salt, which can cause fluid retention. HCTZ treats fluid retention (edema) in people with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, or kidney disorders, or edema caused by taking steroids or estrogen. This medication is also used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).


Amiloride is a potassium sparing diuretic that prevents your body from absorbing too much salt and keeps your potassium levels from getting too low.
Amiloride is used to treat Hypokalemia in people with high blood pressure or congestive heart failure.

Precautions for BIDURET TAB and its Constituents


Caution should be exercised in patients with history of diabetes, gout, asthma or kidney, liver, thyroid disease, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause dizziness or blurred vision, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Avoid alcohol consumption. It may raise blood sugar level, monitor sugar level regularly while taking this medication. Monitor kidney function, blood pressure and electrolyte levels while taking this medication.
Caution should be exercised in tha patients with history of diabetes, Heart disease, Cirrhosis and Breathing disorders.
It may cause Dizziness. Dont drive while taking this medication.

HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE over-dosage can result in: Nausea, Weakness (generalized), Dizziness, Dry Mouth, Increased Thirst
AMILORIDE over-dosage can result in: Difficulty Breathing

HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE : Diarrhoea, Abdomen Upset Stomach, Lightheadedness, Head Headache, Decreased Urination, Confusion, Irregular Heartbeat
AMILORIDE : Hypotension, Hyponatremia, Wheezing, Head Headache, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs), Agitation, Fever, Dizziness
