BURNOSAF LTN is a Schedule H antibiotic.

BURNOSAF LTN is composed of: SUCRALFATE (7.0 %W/W), SULFADIAZINE (1.0 %W/W), CHLORHEXIDINE (0.2 %W/W)


Sulfadiazine is an antibiotic that fights bacteria. Sulfadiazine is used to treat many different types of infection, such as urinary tract infections, ear infections, meningitis, malaria, toxoplasmosis, and others.

Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic that fights bacteria. Chlorhexidine topical (for the skin) is used to clean the skin to prevent infection that may be caused by surgery, injection or skin injury.

SULFADIAZINE is generally used to treat: Urinary Tract Infection, Ear Infection, Middle Ear, Meningitis, Malaria, Toxoplasmosis

Precautions for BURNOSAF LTN and its Constituents



This medication may make you more sensitive to the sun. Limit your time in the sun. Avoid tanning booths and sunlamps. Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors. Get medical help right away if you get sunburned or have skin blisters/redness. During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. This medication should not be used near the expected delivery date because of possible harm to the unborn baby. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. This drug passes into breast milk.

Avoid getting this medicine in your eyes, ears, nose, mouth, rectum, or vagina. If this does happen, rinse with water. Avoid using other medicines on the areas you treat with chlorhexidine topical unless your doctor tells you to. Avoid getting this medicine on your clothing or other fabrics.

SULFADIAZINE : Diarrhoea, Nausea, Vomit, Loss Of Appetite, Head Headache

Rare Side-Effects

SULFADIAZINE : Depression, Pain With Urination, Dizziness, Eyes Blurred Vision, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs), Confusion, Abdomen Pain, Bloody Or Red Colored Stools, Cough, Difficulty Breathing, Hallucinations
