Butenafine is an antifungal medication that fights infections caused by fungus.Butenafine topical (for the skin) is used to treat skin infections such as athlete’s foot, jock itch, and ringworm infections.Butenafine is an antifungal that works by preventing the growth of fungus.Do not use this medication for the treatment of fungal nail infections.

Precautions for BUTOP 1 % W/W CRM and its Constituents
- You should not use butenafine topical if you are allergic to it.
- Use exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
- Do not take by mouth. Butenafine topical is for use only on the skin.Wash your hands before and after using this medicine.Clean and dry the affected area. Apply the medicine as directed.
- Use this medicine for the full prescribed length of time. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cleared.
- Do not cover the treated skin area unless your doctor tells you to.If this medicine gets in your eyes, nose, mouth, rectum, or vagina, rinse with water.
- Avoid wearing tight-fitting, synthetic clothing that doesn’t allow air circulation
- Butenafine cream is for external use only.
- Avoid contact with nose, mouth, and eyes.Seek immediate medical attention if you notice change in color or burning sensation of skin.Do not use butenafine cream for other skin conditions.
- Tell your doctor if you are or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
