Ceftriaxone is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by fighting bacteria in your body. Ceftriaxone is used to treat many kinds of bacterial infections, including severe or life-threatening forms such as meningitis. Ceftriaxone is also used to prevent infection in people having certain types of surgery.
Vancomycin is an antibiotic. When taken by mouth it fights bacteria in the intestines.Vancomycin is used to treat an infection of the intestines caused by Clostridium difficile, which can cause watery or bloody diarrhea. It is also used to treat staph infections that can cause inflammation of the colon and small intestines.It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering which is needed for them to survive.

Precautions for CEFIRONE V 1000MG/500MG INJ and its Constituents
Antibiotic medicines can cause diarrhea, which may be a sign of a new infection. If you have diarrhea that is watery or bloody, call your doctor. Do not use anti-diarrhea medicine unless your doctor tells you to. Caution should be exercised in patients with
- Oral vancomycin works only in the intestines and will not treat infections in other parts of the body.
- You should not take this medication if you are allergic to vancomycin.
- Take vancomycin exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Follow all directions on your prescription label.
- Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.Taking more of this medicine will not make it more effective, and may cause serious or life-threatening side effects.
- Use this medication for the full prescribed length of time. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cleared.
- If you use this medication long-term, you may need frequent medical tests at your doctor’s office.
- Shake the oral suspension (liquid) well just before you measure a dose.
- Measure liquid medicine with the dosing syringe provided, or with a special dose-measuring spoon or medicine cup.
- Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
- Do not drive because you may feel sleepy or dizzy while being treated with vancomycin.
- Do not start or continue the vancomycin if you have a kidney problem or hearing difficulties.
