CELOXIN 0.25MG TAB is a Schedule H drug.CELOXIN 0.25MG TAB is composed of: DIGOXIN (0.25 MG)
Digoxin belongs to a class of medications called cardiac glycosides. Digoxin is derived from the leaves of a digitalis plant. Digoxin helps make the heart beat stronger and with a more regular rhythm.It is used to control ventricular rate in atrial fibrillation and in the management of congestive heart failure with atrial fibrillation. Its use in congestive heart failure and sinus rhythm is less certain. Digoxin is also used to treat heart pain (angina) and may be used after a heart attack. Digoxin can cause vision changes (blurred or yellow). It works by affecting certain minerals (sodium and potassium) inside heart cells.

Precautions for CELOXIN 0.25MG TAB and its Constituents
- If taking digoxin liquid, carefully measure the dose using the dropper provided (do not use a normal household teaspoon because there is no guarantee you are getting the correct dose). Do not increase or decrease the dosage without doctor advice.
- In infants, symptoms of high digoxin levels may differ from adults and include weight loss, failure to thrive, abdominal pain, and behavioral disturbances.
- Record your heart rate and blood pressure while taking digoxin.
- Monitor your blood levels of digoxin regularly, and also your kidney function and potassium levels. Although there is an ideal range for digoxin levels in the blood (0.5-2 mg/mL), doctors should interpret your levels based on your response to the drug.
- Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking any other medication with digoxin, including medicine brought over-the-counter, because several medicines, including herbal medicines and supplements, can interact with digoxin.
- Take immediate medical advice if you experience nausea or vomiting, persistent diarrhea, confusion, weakness, or visual disturbances because these may be a sign that your digoxin levels are too high.
