CLOSIS PLUS TAB is composed of: CLONAZEPAM ( ), PROPRANOLOL ( )

Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine. It affects chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced. Clonazepam is also a seizure medicine, also called an anti-epileptic drug. Clonazepam is used to treat certain seizure disorders (including absence seizures or Lennox-Gastaut syndrome) in adults and children. Clonazepam is also used to treat panic disorder (including agoraphobia) in adults.Clonazepam is used in the treatment of epilepsy and anxiety disorder.Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of GABA, a chemical messenger which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
Propranolol is a beta-blocker. Beta-blockers affect the heart and circulation (blood flow through arteries and veins). Propranolol is used to treat tremors, angina (chest pain), hypertension (high blood pressure), heart rhythm disorders, and other heart or circulatory conditions. It is also used to treat or prevent heart attack, and to reduce the severity and frequency of migraine headaches.

Precautions for CLOSIS PLUS TAB and its Constituents


  • If you are taking Clonazepam for the treatment of insomnia and anxiety, it should not be used more than 4 weeks.
  • It may become less effective over the time.
  • It causes sleepiness or drowsiness. If this happens to you, do not drive or use machinery.
  • Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Clonazepam, as it may cause excessive sleepiness or drowsiness.
  •  Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
  •  Inform your doctor if you have ever been diagnosed with kidney or liver problems.
  • The addiction / habit-forming potential of Clonazepam is very high.
  • You should not use clonazepam if you have narrow-angle glaucoma or severe liver disease, or if you are allergic to Valium or a similar medicineTake clonazepam exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Follow all directions on your prescription label. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose to make sure you get the best results. Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.Misuse of habit-forming medicine can cause addiction, overdose, or death. Selling or giving away this medicine is against the law.
  • Clonazepam should be used for only a short time. Do not take this medication for longer than 9 weeks without your doctor’s advice.
  • Swallow the tablet whole, with a full glass of water.

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of heart, lung, liver or kidney disease, poor blood circulation, breathing problems, sugar, low blood sugar, overactive thyroid, increased eye pressure, any allergy, who are taking other medications, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause drowsiness, dizziness, lightheadedness, or vision changes, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Avoid alcohol consumption. It may affect blood sugar level; monitor sugar level regularly while taking this medication.
