Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine. Chlordiazepoxide affects chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced in people with anxiety. Chlordiazepoxide is used to treat anxiety disorders. Chlordiazepoxide may be used short-term to treat anxiety you may have before a surgery. Chlordiazepoxide is also used to treat anxiety or withdrawal symptoms of alcoholism.
Imipramine is a tricyclic antidepressant. Imipramine affects chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced in people with depression. Imipramine is used to treat symptoms of depression. Imipramine is sometimes used to treat bed-wetting in children ages 6 and older.

Precautions for CODEP 37 TAB and its Constituents


 Avoid drinking alcohol. Dangerous side effects could occur.

Chlordiazepoxide may impair your thinking or reactions. Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how this medicine will affect you. Dizzinessor severe drowsiness can cause falls or other accidents.


Caution should be exercised in patients with history of increased eye pressure, prostate enlargement, difficulty in urinating, seizures, overactive thyroid, liver, kidney or heart disease, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breast feeding. It may cause drowsiness or dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Avoid alcohol consumption and smoking while taking this medication. Avoid exposure to sunlight; otherwise it may cause skin sensitivity. Patient may develop Serotonin Syndrome with the following symptoms: increased heart rate, shivering, sweating, dilated pupils.
