CONVIDEX FORTE is a Schedule H drug.CONVIDEX FORTE is composed of: LYSINE (200 MG), CALCIUM CITRATE (100 MG), SULPHATE (61.8 MG), PYRIDOXINE (1.5 MG)
Lysine is an amino acid and it is also known as L-2,6-diaminohexanoic acid, Lisina, Lys, Lysine Hydrochloride, Lysine Monohydrochloride, and other names.Lysine has been used in alternative medicine as a possibly effective aid in treating cold sores due to herpes simplex.Proteins of the herpes simplex virus are rich in L-arginine, and tissue culture studies indicate an enhancing effect on viral replication when the amino acid ratio of L-arginine to L-lysine is high in the tissue culture media. When the ratio of L-lysine to L-arginine is high, viral replication and the cytopathogenicity of herpes simplex virus have been found to be inhibited. L-lysine may facilitate the absorption of calcium from the small intestine.
Pyridoxine is vitamin B6. Vitamins occur naturally in foods such as meat, poultry, nuts, whole grains, bananas, and avocados. Vitamin B6 is important for many processes in the body.Pyridoxine injection is also used to treat some types of seizure in babies.Pyridoxine taken by mouth (oral) is available without a prescription.
