Crotamiton is an anti-parasite medicine that kills certain parasites that live or lay eggs in your skin.Crotamiton topical (for the skin) is used to treat scabies and to reduce itching associated with certain skin conditions.This medicine is available only with your doctor’s prescription.

Precautions for CROTORAX 10% W/W LTN and its Constituents
- Crotamiton is for external application only.
- If your child is less than 3 years of age, apply the cream or lotion under doctor’s supervision.
- Do not apply crotamiton in or around the mouth or eyes as it may lead to inflammation. If applied accidently, rinse thoroughly with water.
- Do not apply on exudative wounds, acute eczema, or if the skin is broken, severely inflamed or with pus.
- Stop applying crotamiton if you develop any allergic reaction.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or are breastfeeding and or having genital itching
- Follow all directions on your medicine label and package
- You should not use this medicine if you have ever had an allergic reaction to a topical medication.
- Follow all directions on your prescription label.
- Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.Shake the lotion well just before each use.To treat itching:Massage the medicine into the affected areas until it is completely absorbed. Repeat as needed.
- To prevent reinfection, wash all clothing, hats, bed clothes, bed linens, hair brushes, and combs with a strong cleanser in hot water to remove any mites or eggs.
