Overview
DREP EAR-DPS is a Schedule H antibiotic.DREP EAR-DPS is composed of: LIDOCAINE HYDROCHLORIDE (2 %W/V), CLOTRIMAZOLE (1 %W/V), BECLOMETASONE (0.025 %W/V), OFLOXACIN (0.3 %W/V)
Lidocaine is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking nerve signals in your body.Lidocaine injection is used to numb an area of your body to help reduce pain or discomfort caused by invasive medical procedures such as surgery, needle punctures, or insertion of a catheter or breathing tube.It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain to decrease the sensation of pain.Lidocaine injection is sometimes used to treat irregular heart rhythms that may signal a possible heart attack.
Clotrimazole topical is an antifungal medication that fights infections caused by fungus.Clotrimazole topical (for the skin) is used to treat skin infections such as athlete’s foot, jock itch, ringworm, and yeast infections.Clotrimazole is used in the treatment of fungal infections.Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication. It stops the growth of fungus by preventing them from forming their own protective covering which is required for their survival in the human.
Beclomethasone is a steroid. It prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Beclomethasone inhalation is used to prevent asthma attacks in adults and children who are at least 5 years old. This medication will not treat an asthma attack that has already begun.
Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that fights bacteria in the body. Ofloxacin is used to treat bacterial infections of the skin, lungs, prostate, or urinary tract (bladder and kidneys). Ofloxacin is also used to treat pelvic inflammatory disease and Chlamydia and/or gonorrhea.
Fluoroquinolone antibiotics can cause serious or disabling side effects that may not be reversible. Ofloxacin should be used only for infections that cannot be treated with a safer antibiotic.

Precautions for DREP EAR-DPS and its Constituents
- You should not receive lidocaine injection if you have severe heart block.
- You should not receive this medicine if you are allergic to lidocaine injection.
- When used to treat heart rhythm problems, lidocaine is given as an infusion into a vein.
- Lidocaine injection can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. Unless absolutely necessary, do not drive after receiving lidocaine injection.
- Avoid eating or chewing within 1 hour after lidocaine injection is used to numb your mouth or throat.
- Do not use this medicine in case of open wounds or damaged areas (especially in mouth) as this may result into excessive absorption of active ingredient.
- Do not apply more frequently than every 3 hours.
- You should not use clotrimazole topical if you are allergic to it.Use exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.Do not take by mouth. Clotrimazole topical is for use only on the skin.Wash your hands before and after using this medicine, unless you are using it to treat a hand infection.Clean and dry the affected area. Apply a small amount of the cream (usually twice daily) for 2 to 4 weeks.
- Your doctor has prescribed Clotrimazole to cure your infection and improve symptoms.
- Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of joint problems, rheumatoid arthritis, heart, kidney, or lung transplant; Alzheimer disease, seizures, stroke, central nervous system disorder, heart, liver, or kidney disease, decrease in blood minerals, any allergy, who are taking other medications, children, elderly, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or light-headedness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Avoid exposure to sunlight. It may affect blood sugar level; monitor sugar level regularly. Avoid alcohol consumption. Avoid long-term use of this medication;
