Alendronate may lower the calcium levels in your blood. If you have low blood calcium before taking alendronate it may get worse during treatment.

Symptoms of Overdosage

ALENDRONATE over-dosage can result in: Chest Pain, Heartburn, Body Muscle Cramps Or Spasms (painful)

Common Side-Effects

ALENDRONATE : Alopecia, Pruritus, Abdomen Pain

Serious Side-Effects

ALENDRONATE : Erythema, Heartburn, Difficulty Swallowing, Body Muscle Cramps Or Spasms (painful)

Food Interactions



Alendronate contains high amount of salt. avoid eating foods with high amount of salt.
Alendronate and multivitamin with minerals should not be taken orally at the same time it interferes the absorption of alendronate and may reduce the activity of alendronate.

ALENDRONATE can interfere with: Aspiration Pneumonia, Hypocalcemia, Asthma, Acute Renal Failure
