Precautions for GAROIN TAB and its Constituents


Avoid drinking alcohol while you are taking this medicine. Alcohol use can increase your blood levels of phenytoin and may increase side effects. Daily alcohol use can decrease your blood levels of phenytoin, which can increase your risk of seizures. It may develop suicidal thoughts in teenagers, watch them carefully. Caution should be exercised in patients with history of heart problems, low blood pressure, blood disease porphyria, liver disease, sugar, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery and get up slowly from bed while taking this medication.

Symptoms of Overdosage

PHENYTOIN over-dosage can result in: Slurred Speech, Loss Of Balance, Weakness (generalized), Nausea, Vomit, Lightheadedness, Fainting, Slow Or Irregular Breathing, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs)

PHENYTOIN : Skin Rash, Hives, Hepatitis, Loss Of Coordination, Confusion, Nervousness, Slurred Speech, Difficulty Breathing, Difficulty Swallowing, Dizziness, Difficulty Sleeping, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs), Nausea, Vomit, Constipation
