GELUSIL PLUS SUSP is a Schedule H drug.

GELUSIL PLUS SUSP is composed of: ALUMINIUM HYDROXIDE (300 MG), MAGNESIUM HYDROXIDE (150 MG), DIMETHICONE (125 MG), SORBITOL (0.3 MG/ML)

Aluminum is a naturally occurring mineral. Aluminum hydroxide is an antacid and alkalizer.
Aluminum hydroxide is used to treat heartburn, upset stomach, sour stomach, acid indigestion, stomach ulcers. Aluminum hydroxide is also used to reduce phosphate levels in people with certain kidney conditions.



Sorbitol is a hyperosmotic laxative used to treat occasional constipation.

How Do I Take It?

GELUSIL PLUS SUSP is generally taken After Food.

Precautions for GELUSIL PLUS SUSP and its Constituents

Take this medicine with a full glass (8 ounces) of water. Shake the oral suspension (liquid) before you measure a dose. Use the dosing syringe provided, or use a medicine dose-measuring device (not a kitchen spoon). Do not take aluminum hydroxide for longer than 2 weeks without your doctor’s advice.



Caution should be exercised in patients with history of hypersensitivity, diabetes, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, rectal bleeding, a sudden change in bowel habits lasting over 2 weeks, elderly, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women. Do not take additional laxatives or stool softeners while taking this medication unless directed by your doctor. Do not use this medication beyond the recommended dose. This medication should be used only by the patient for whom it is prescribed. Do not share it with others. Do not use this medication for longer than 1 week without consulting with your health care provider.

ALUMINIUM HYDROXIDE over-dosage can result in: Constipation, Weight Loss (intentional), Confusion, Mood Swings, Decreased Urination
SORBITOL over-dosage can result in: Abdomen Stomach Cramps

SORBITOL : Diarrhoea, Nausea, Skin Irritation

SORBITOL : Vomit, Weakness (generalized), Dizziness

SORBITOL : Skin Rash, Face Swelling, Body Itching, Difficulty Breathing
