LACOMA T EYE DPS is composed of: LATANOPROST (0.005 %W/V), TIMOLOL (0.5 %W/V)

Latanoprost lowers pressure inside the eye by increasing the amount of fluid that drains from the eye.Latanoprost ophthalmic (for the eyes) is used to treat certain types of glaucoma and other causes of high pressure inside the eye.Latanoprost (topical) is a prostaglandin analogue. It works by increasing the natural flow of fluid from the eye, thereby lowering pressure in the eye.


Timolol is a beta-blocker that affects the heart and circulation Timolol is sometimes given with other blood pressure medication.It works by relaxing blood vessels and slowing heart rate. It works by blocking the action of certain natural chemicals in your body such as epinephrine on the heart and blood vessels.

Precautions for LACOMA T EYE DPS and its Constituents


  • You should not use latanoprost ophthalmic if you are allergic to it.
  • Follow all directions on your prescription label. Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
  • The usual dose of this medicine is 1 drop into the affected eye every evening. Follow your doctor’s dosing instructions very carefully. Do not use this medicine while wearing contact lenses. Latanoprost ophthalmic may contain a preservative that can discolor soft contact lenses. Wait at least 15 minutes after using this medicine before putting in your contact lenses.
  • Wash your hands before using the eye drops.
  • Do not touch the tip of the eye dropper or place it directly on your eye. A contaminated dropper can infect your eye, which could lead to serious vision problems.
  • Do not use the eye drops if the liquid has changed colors or has particles in it.
  • Do not use extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
  • Avoid using too much of this medicine, which can actually make it less effective in lowering the pressure inside the eye.
  • Do not use other eye medications unless your doctor tells you to.
  • For best results, put one drop once a day in the evening/night in the affected eye(s)
  • It may cause blurred vision, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.

  • You should not use timolol if you have asthma or other breathing disorders, or a serious heart condition such as heart failure or COPD.
  • You should not use timolol if you are allergic to it.
  • Follow all directions on your prescription label. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose to make sure you get the best results.
  • Do not use timolol in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.Your blood pressure will need to be checked often.
  • You should not stop using timolol suddenly. Stopping suddenly may make your condition worse.
  • If you are taking timolol to prevent migraine headaches: It may take 6 to 8 weeks of daily use before timolol is fully effective.
  • Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.It may cause drowsiness or dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
  • It may affect blood sugar level, monitor sugar level regularly.

TIMOLOL over-dosage can result in: Wheezing, Difficulty Breathing, Fainting, Slow Heart Rate (pulse), Dizziness, Eyes Blurred Vision, Ringing In Ears, Head Headache, Hearing Loss, Nervousness, Ear Pounding, Body Excessive Sweating

Food Interactions
