Overview
LOFTAIR O-INH is a Schedule H drug.LOFTAIR O-INH is composed of: INDACATEROL (110 MCG), GLYCOPYRROLATE (50 MCG)
Indacaterol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing muscles in the airways to improve breathing.
Indacaterol is used to prevent bronchospasm in people with the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including bronchitis or emphysema. Indacaterol will not treat a bronchospasm attack that has already begun. Indacaterol is not for use in treating asthma.
Glycopyrrolate reduces the secretions of certain organs in the body. Glycopyrrolate helps to control conditions such as peptic ulcers that involve excessive stomach acid production. This medication is a muscarinic anticholinergic agent. Glycopyrrolate is also used to reduce drooling in children ages 3 to 16 who have certain medical conditions, such as cerebral palsy.

Precautions for LOFTAIR O-INH and its Constituents
Caution should be exercised in patients with
- Before taking glycopyrrolate, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems.
- Caution should be exercised in patients with history of pregnancy, breastfeeding, heart disease, increased level of thyroid hormone, liver or kidney impairment, enlarged prostate, diarrhea, fever, children and elderly people.
- This drug may make you dizzy or drowsy or blur your vision. Alcohol can make you more dizzy or drowsy. Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs alertness or clear vision until you can do it safely. Limit alcoholic beverages.
- Older adults may be more sensitive to the side effects of this drug, especially drowsiness, confusion, unusual excitement, constipation, and urination problems.
- During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
- It may cause ileus (abruption of gastrointestinal motor activity) or megacolon in patients with ulcerative colitis.
Symptoms of Overdosage
INDACATEROL over-dosage can result in: Body Muscle Cramps Or Spasms (painful), Chest Pain, Rapid Heart Rate (pulse), Slow Heart Rate (pulse), FaintingGLYCOPYRROLATE over-dosage can result in: Weakness (generalized), Eyes Enlarged (dilated) Pupils, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs)
