LOMITAS TAB is an Over-the-counter (OTC) antibiotic.

LOMITAS TAB is composed of: LOMEFLOXACIN (400 MG)

Lomefloxacin is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing, thereby killing the bacteria. Lomefloxacin is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is also used in infections of the urinary tract, tonsils, sinus, nose, throat, female genital organ, skin and soft tissues, windpipe, lungs (pneumonia).

Precautions for LOMITAS TAB and its Constituents


It may increase the sensitivity to sunlight; avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or artificial UV light. Patient may develop with increased risk of epilepsy, if it so, stop the medication. Caution should be exercised in patients with history of known or suspected CNS disorders such as epilepsy, kidney disease, tendon problems, nervous system disorders, liver disease, blood vessel problems, any drug allergies. Avoid in patients with known QT prolongation, uncorrected low potassium level in blood.

LOMEFLOXACIN over-dosage can result in: Difficulty Breathing

LOMEFLOXACIN : Insomnia, Nausea, Head Headache, Loose Motion, Difficulty Sleeping, Constipation, Dizziness, Anxiety, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs)

LOMEFLOXACIN can interfere with: Myasthenia Gravis, Heart Arrhythmias, Hypokalemia, Magnesium Deficiency, Congestive Heart Disease, Supraspinatus Tendonitis, Colitis, Gastroenteritis, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, Diabetes Mellitus, Acute Renal Failure
