LOTUS D CAP is a Schedule H drug.

LOTUS D CAP is composed of: LANSOPRAZOLE (30.0 MG), DOMPERIDONE (10.0 MG)

Lansoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor. Lansoprazole decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach. Lansoprazole is used to treat and prevent stomach and intestinal ulcers, erosive esophagitis (damage to the esophagus from stomach acid), and other conditions involving excessive stomach acid such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Over-the-counter lansoprazole (Prevacid OTC) is used to treat frequent heartburn that happens 2 or more days per week.

Domperidone is an anti dopaminergic agent. It is used in treating nausea,vomiting,Gastrointestinal probelms and Parkinsons disease.

Precautions for LOTUS D CAP and its Constituents

While taking sucralfate (Carafate), take it at least 30 minutes after lansoprazole. It may affect liver function. Gastric malignancy should be ruled out. Caution should be exercised in patients with osteoporosis, liver problem, bowel cancer, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Cautions should be exercised in the patients with the history of kidney or liver disease, Breast cancer,Bowel blockage and any allergic reactions

Symptoms of Overdosage

LANSOPRAZOLE over-dosage can result in: Difficulty Breathing
DOMPERIDONE over-dosage can result in: Dizziness, Confusion, Drowsiness, Irregular Heartbeat, Difficulty Breathing

LANSOPRAZOLE : Lupus, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs), Body Muscle Cramps Or Spasms (painful), Arms Joint Pain
DOMPERIDONE : Chest Pain, Irregular Heartbeat, Dizziness, Fainting, Loss Of Balance
