MELODOL 7.5MG/325MG TAB is composed of: PARACETAMOL (325.0 MG), MELOXICAM (7.5 MG)

Paracetamol is a pain reliever and a fever reducer. The exact mechanism of action of is not known. Paracetamol is used to treat many conditions such as a headache, muscle aches, arthritis, backache, toothaches, colds, and fevers. It relieves pain in mild arthritis but has no effect on the underlying inflammation and swelling of the joint.

Meloxicam is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). It works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Meloxicam is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis in adults. Meloxicam is also used to treat juvenile rheumatoid arthritis in children who are at least 2 years old.

Precautions for MELODOL 7.5MG/325MG TAB and its Constituents


Caution should be exercised in patients with history of asthma, bleeding problems, growths in the nose, heart, kidney or liver disease, liver inflammation, high blood pressure, chickenpox, anxiety, trouble in sleeping, ulcers, stomach problems, stroke, Kawasaki syndrome, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Avoid alcohol consumption. It should not be used in children with infections such as flu, chickenpox or viral infections. Avoid large amount of caffeinated beverages while taking this medication. It may reduce platelet counts; avoid injury or bruising.
Caution must be exercised in patients with history of GI disease, asthma, hypertension, heart disease, fluid retention or heart failure, elderly, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Monitor patients with advanced renal disease. It may cause dizziness, lightheadedness or fainting. Do not drive a car or operate machineries while taking this medication.
