MET XL TRIO 50MG TAB is composed of: METOPROLOL (50.0 MG), TELMISARTAN (40.0 MG), CILNIDIPINE (10.0 MG)

Metoprolol is a beta-blocker that affects the heart and circulation (blood flow through arteries and veins). Metoprolol is used to treat angina (chest pain) and hypertension (high blood pressure). Metoprolol is also used to lower your risk of death or need to be hospitalized for heart failure.

Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Telmisartan keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow. Telmisartan is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It is sometimes given together with other blood pressure medications. Telmisartan is also used to reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, or death from heart problems in people who are at least 55 years old with risk factors for serious heart disorders.

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of heart attack, slow or irregular heartbeat, heart failure, chest pain, poor blood circulation, liver impairment, sugar, breathing problems, adrenal gland tumor (pheochromocytoma), any allergy, who are taking other medications, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may cause drowsiness, dizziness, or lightheadedness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication. Avoid alcohol consumption. Avoid abrupt withdrawal.
