Prazosin is in a group of drugs called alpha-adrenergic blockers. Prazosin relaxes your veins and arteries so that blood can more easily pass through them.It lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily through the body.
Usage
PRAZOSIN is generally used to treat: Hypertension, Raynaud’s Disease Phenomenon, Benign Prostatic HyperplasiaPRAZOSIN can address symptoms like: Dizziness, Fever, Head Headache, Chest Pain, Irregular Heartbeat, Chest Discomfort

Precautions for MINIPRESS XL 5MG TAB and its Constituents
- You should not use this medication if you are allergic to prazosin
- Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
- Follow the directions on your prescription label.Your doctor may occasionally change your dose to make sure you get the best results.
- You may feel very dizzy when you first wake up. Be careful when standing or sitting up from a lying position.
- These effects may get aggravated by consuming alcohol during exercise, in hot weather, or when standing for long durations.
- May affect your eye muscles; this should be harmless unless you are scheduled for a cataract surgery.
- Avoid getting overheated during exercise and hot weather.
- When first starting this drug, avoid situations where you may be injured if you faint.
