Overview
NIMODIP TAB is a Schedule H drug.NIMODIP TAB is composed of: NIMODIPINE (30 MG)
Nimodipine is a prescription medicine used to treat patients experiencing symptoms of ruptured blood vessels in the brain (subarachnoid hemorrhage, or SAH). Nimodipine belongs to a group of drugs called calcium channel blockers, which relax blood vessels, making it easier for blood to flow into the injured brain tissue. This medication comes in an oral solution (liquid) and in a capsule form. It is taken 6 times a day 21 days after an SAH event. Nimodipine can cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how nimodipine affects you.

Precautions for NIMODIP TAB and its Constituents
- It may cause dizziness, lightheadedness or drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
- Avoid alcohol consumption.
- Monitor blood pressure regularly while taking this medication.
- Before taking nimodipine, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it or to other dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers or if you have any other allergies.
- Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of chest pain/recent heart attack, low blood pressure, recent head injury, liver disease.
- Before having surgery, tell your doctor or dentist about all the products you use (including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products).
- During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
- This medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

- Avoid using St. John’s Wort or grapefruit/grapefruit juice while using this medication as it may interact with your medication.
- Using nimodipine together with multivitamin with minerals can decrease the effects of nimodipine. Talk with your doctor before using nimodipine and multivitamin with minerals together.
