NOSIKIND P 2% W/V/0.05% W/V NASAL DPS is composed of: SORBITOL (2.0 %W/V), XYLOMETAZOLINE (0.05 %W/V)

Sorbitol is a hyperosmotic laxative used to treat occasional constipation.

Xylometazoline nasal is a decongestant that shrinks blood vessels in the nasal passages. Dilated blood vessels can cause nasal congestion (stuffy nose). Xylometazoline nasal (for use in the nose) is used to treat stuffy nose caused by allergies, sinus irritation, or the common cold. Ophthalmic- Relieving redness in eyes.

Precautions for NOSIKIND P 2% W/V/0.05% W/V NASAL DPS and its Constituents


Caution should be exercised in patients with history of hypersensitivity, diabetes, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, rectal bleeding, a sudden change in bowel habits lasting over 2 weeks, elderly, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women. Do not take additional laxatives or stool softeners while taking this medication unless directed by your doctor. Do not use this medication beyond the recommended dose. This medication should be used only by the patient for whom it is prescribed. Do not share it with others. Do not use this medication for longer than 1 week without consulting with your health care provider.
Caution needed for young children, during pregnancy and lactation, patients with history of high blood pressure, cardiovascular abnormalities, diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, and difficulty in urination secondary to prostate enlargement. To prevent the spread of infection; do not share this medication with others. Do not use this nasal preparation for longer than 3 to 5 days. Rebound congestion may occur after prolonged regular use. Avoid prolonged usage.

SORBITOL over-dosage can result in: Abdomen Stomach Cramps
XYLOMETAZOLINE over-dosage can result in: Drowsiness, Slow Heart Rate (pulse), Dizziness, Fainting
