It works by blocking the release of a certain hormone (luteinizing hormone). Ganirelix stops eggs from being released too early and gives the eggs time to grow properly.

Precautions for ORGALUTRAN 0.25MG INJ and its Constituents


Caution should be exercised in patients with any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Patient may develop with increased risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) with the following symptoms: stomach pain, bloating, or swelling, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, decreased urination or dark urine, shortness of breath; or sudden weight gain. Monitor complete blood cell counts and hormone levels regularly while taking this medication.
