POLYTORVA CAP

Overview

POLYTORVA CAP is a Schedule H drug.

POLYTORVA CAP is composed of: ASPIRIN (75 MG), ATORVASTATIN (10 MG), RAMIPRIL (5 MG)

Aspirin is used to treat pain, reduce fever and inflammation. It also acts as antiplatelet (antithrombotic) agent in low doses to prevent heart attack, strokes and angina ( chest pain).

Atorvastatin (Lipitor) is a member of the drug class known as statins. It is used for lowering cholesterol. Atorvastatin is a competitive inhibitor of hydroxymethylglutaryl-coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase.Atorvastatin acts primarily in the liver.  Decreased hepatic cholesterol levels increases hepatic uptake of cholesterol and reduces plasma cholesterol levels.Atorvastatin is used to treat high cholesterol, and to lower the risk of stroke, heart attack, or other heart complications in people with type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease, or other risk factors.
Ramipril  is an ACE inhibitor. ACE stands for angiotensin converting enzyme.Ramipril is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) or congestive heart failure, and to improve survival after a heart attack. It works by reducing stress on the heart and relaxing blood vessel so that blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump blood more efficiently.
