Precautions for QUADROCEF VIAL and its Constituents




Caution should be exercised in patients with history of penicillin or cephalosporin allergy, gastro intestinal disease, especially colitis; lactation, pregnancy, seizures. It may decrease prothrombin activity; monitor prothrombin time in patients with poor nutritional state, kidney or liver impairment and those on prolonged treatment. Prolonged treatment may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms, resulting in superinfection. Consider the possibility of Clostridium difficile associated diarrhea in patients who present with diarrhea after treatment. Patient may develop with increased risk of neurotoxicity.

CEFEPIME over-dosage can result in: Difficulty Breathing, Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs)

CEFEPIME : Abdomen Muscle Cramps Or Spasms (painful), Gums Bleeding, Confusion, Dark Colored (brown) Urine, Fever, Chills, Difficulty Breathing, Loss Of Appetite, Nausea, Vomit, Left Foot Swelling, Right Foot Swelling

CEFEPIME : Loose Motion, Bloody Or Red Colored Stools

CEFEPIME can interfere with: Acute Renal Failure, Colitis, Gastroenteritis, Seizure
