Ranolazine is an anti-anginal medication. It works by improving blood flow to help the heart work more efficiently.Ranolazine is used to treat chronic angina (chest pain). Ranolazine is not for use during an acute (emergency) attack of angina.It works by decreasing the oxygen requirement of the heart by relaxing heart muscle.

Precautions for RANOLAZ 500MG TAB and its Constituents


  • You should not take ranolazine if you have cirrhosis of the liver.
  • You should not take ranolazine if you are allergic to it.
  • Follow all directions on your prescription label. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose to make sure you get the best results. Do not use this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
  • Do not crush, chew, or break an extended-release tablet.
  • Swallow it whole.
  • Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
  • Ranolazine may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.Improves HbA1c and blood sugar levels in diabetes patients.
  • May produce changes in the ECG. It is recommended to get an ECG done 1 to 2 weeks after starting Ranolazine.
  • Notify your doctor if you are taking any other medications along with Ranolazine

Symptoms of Overdosage

RANOLAZINE over-dosage can result in: Nausea, Vomit, Confusion, Dizziness, Eyes Double Vision (without One Eye Covered)

RANOLAZINE : Palpitation, Head Headache, Dizziness, Nausea, Constipation, Abdomen Bloating Or Fullness, Ringing In Ears, Irregular Heartbeat, Labored Breathing, Hearing Loss, Lightheadedness, Weight Gain, Hands Tingling, Chest Discomfort, Spinning Sensation, Dry Mouth, Abdomen Pain

RANOLAZINE : Blood Pressure, Low, Abdomen Painful Bowel Movements

RANOLAZINE : Depression, Seizure, Blood Or Red Colored Urine, Eyes Blurred Vision, Agitation, Chest Pain, Chills, Confusion, Decreased Urination, Fainting, Restless Or Irritability, Legs Shaking, Hands Shaking, Body Excessive Sweating, Fatigue (tiredness)
