Fosphenytoin is an anticonvulsant that works by slowing down impulses in the brain that cause seizures. Fosphenytoin treats certain types of seizures. Your blood pressure and heart rhythm will need to be monitored during treatment. Can cause uncontrollable eye movements. Fosphenytoin can also cause drowsiness and dizziness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how fosphenytoin affects you.

Precautions for RAPITOIN 150MG INJ and its Constituents
- It may cause may cause dizziness or drowsiness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
- Caution should be exercised in patients with history of heart problem, liver or kidney disease, low blood albumin levels, diabetes, alcoholism, elderly, patients requiring phosphate restriction.
- Resuscitation facilities must be available.
- Monitor ECG, BP, blood sugar, and respiratory function during infusion; observe patients for at least 30 minutes after infusion.
