Overview
REPACE -H TAB is a Schedule H drug.REPACE -H TAB is composed of: LOSARTAN POTASSIUM (50 MG), HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE (12.5 MG)
Losartan keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow.Losartan is used to slow long-term kidney damage in people with type 2 diabetes who also have high blood pressure.Losartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
HCTZ (hydrochlorothiazide) is a thiazide diuretic (water pill) that helps prevent your body from absorbing too much salt, which can cause fluid retention. HCTZ treats fluid retention (edema) in people with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, or kidney disorders, or edema caused by taking steroids or estrogen. This medication is also used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

How Do I Take It?
REPACE -H TAB is generally taken With Food.Precautions for REPACE -H TAB and its Constituents
- Do not use if you are pregnant.
- You should not use this medication if you are allergic to losartan.
- If you have diabetes, do not use losartan together with any medication that contains aliskiren.
- Take losartan exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Follow all directions on your prescription label.
- Your doctor may occasionally change your dose to make sure you get the best results.
- Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
- Your blood pressure will need to be checked often.
- It may take 3 to 6 weeks of using losartan before your blood pressure is under control.
- Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
- Drinking alcohol can further lower your blood pressure and may increase certain side effects of losartan.
- Avoid getting up too fast from a sitting or lying position, or you may feel dizzy. Get up slowly and steady yourself to prevent a fall.
