SIZODON LS TAB is composed of: RISPERIDONE (2 MG), TRIHEXYPHENIDYL HYDROCHLORIDE (2 MG)

Risperidone is an antipsychotic medicine. It works by changing the effects of chemicals in the brain. Risperidone is used to treat schizophrenia in adults and children who are at least 13 years old. Risperidone is also used to treat symptoms of bipolar disorder (manic depression) in adults and children who are at least 10 years old. Risperidone is also used to treat symptoms of irritability in autistic children who are 5 to 16 years old.

Precautions for SIZODON LS TAB and its Constituents


Caution should also be exercised in patients with history of heart diseases, liver or kidney impairment, elderly, epilepsy; Parkinsonism, and during pregnancy. It may make you drowsy. Do not drive a car or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you. It may make it harder for your body to cool down when it gets very hot or warm up when it gets very cold. Avoid getting up too fast from a sitting or lying position, or you may feel dizzy. Dizziness or severe drowsiness can cause falls, fractures, or other injuries. Avoid drinking alcohol. Dangerous side effects could occur.

RISPERIDONE over-dosage can result in: Drowsiness, Rapid Heart Rate (pulse), Lightheadedness, Fainting, Eyes Jerking Eye Movements

RISPERIDONE : Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome, Difficulty Swallowing, Body Muscle Cramps Or Spasms (painful), Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs), Mood Swings, Anxiety, Dark Colored (brown) Urine, Fever, Confusion

RISPERIDONE : Tardive Dyskinesia, Skin Rash, Difficulty Breathing, Body Itching, Face Swelling
