Trimipramine is a tricyclic antidepressant. Trimipramine affects chemicals in the brain that may be unbalanced in people with depression.Trimipramine increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating the mood and treat depression.

Precautions for SIZONORM PLUS TAB and its Constituents
- You should not use trimipramine if you have recently had a heart attack.
- Do not use trimipramine if you have used an MAO inhibitor in the past 14 days.
- You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to trimipramine.Follow all directions on your prescription label. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose to make sure you get the best results. Do not use trimipramine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
- It may take up to 4 weeks before your symptoms improve.
- Do not stop using trimipramine suddenly, or you could have unpleasant withdrawal symptoms. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
- Drinking alcohol with trimipramine can cause side effects.This medication may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert.
- Avoid exposure to sunlight or tanning beds. Trimipramine can make you sunburn more easily. Wear protective clothing and use sunscreen when you are outdoors.
- The main dose should be taken at night as this drug may produce drowsiness or sleepiness.
- It may be extremely dangerous in overdose.
