TELROSE TAB

Overview

TELROSE TAB is a Schedule H drug.

TELROSE TAB is composed of: TELMISARTAN (40 MG), ROSUVASTATIN (10 MG)

Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Telmisartan keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow. Telmisartan is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It is sometimes given together with other blood pressure medications. Telmisartan is also used to reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, or death from heart problems in people who are at least 55 years old with risk factors for serious heart disorders.

Rosuvastatin is in a group of drugs called HMG CoA reductase inhibitors, or "statins." Rosuvastatin reduces levels of "bad" cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood, while increasing levels of "good" cholesterol.Rosuvastatin is also used to treat hereditary forms of high cholesterol, including the heterozygous type and the homozygous type.It works by blocking an enzyme (HMG-CoA-reductase) that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL).
