Overview
CEFDINIR is a Schedule H drug.Cefdinir is in a group of drugs called cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by fighting bacteria in your body.Cefdinir is used to treat many different types of infections caused by bacteria.It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria in the human body

How Do I Take It?
CEFDINIR is generally taken With Food.Route of Administration: Oral
Precautions
- Your doctor has prescribed Cefdinir to cure your infection and improve symptoms.
- Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better Discontinue Cefdinir and inform your doctor immediately if you get a rash, itchy skin, swelling of face and mouth, or have difficulty in breathing.
- Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn’t stop or if you find blood in your stools.
- If you’re on blood thinners, Cefdinir can interact with your medications and increase your bleeding tendencies.
- You should not use Ceftin if you are allergic to cefuroxime or to similar antibiotics, such as cefdinir (Omnicef), cefprozil (Cefzil), cephalexin (Keflex), and others.Take this medication for the entire length of time prescribed by your doctor.
- Your symptoms may get better before the infection is completely treated. Ceftin will not treat a viral infection such as the common cold or flu.
- Take Ceftin exactly as it was prescribed for you. Follow all directions on your prescription label.
- Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.You may take Ceftin tablets with or without meals.
- Do not crush the tablet or it could have an unpleasant bitter taste.
Symptoms of Overdosage
CEFDINIR over-dosage can result in: Nausea, VomitCommon Side-Effects

Cefdinir and multivitamin with minerals should not be taken orally at the same time. Products that contain iron may interfere with the absorption of cefdinir and reduce its effectivenessDisease Interactions
