CEFTIBUTEN

Overview

CEFTIBUTEN is a Schedule H1 drug.
Ceftibuten is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu). Using any antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections. The oral suspension should be taken 2 hours before a meal or at least 1 hour after a meal. Common side effects of ceftibuten include nausea, headache, diarrhea, and upset stomach. Ceftibuten can also cause dizziness. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you know how ceftibuten affects you.
