PROCAINE is a Schedule H drug.Procaine penicillin is an antibiotic that fights bacteria in your body.Procaine penicillin is used to treat many different types of infections caused by bacteria, including syphilis.Do not use this medication for any other infection that has not been checked by your doctor.

How Do I Take It?
Route of Administration: IM (Intra-Mascular)Precautions
- You should not use this medication if you are allergic to penicillin.
- Do not inject this medication into a vein or life-threatening side effects may result.
- Use this medication for the full prescribed length of time.Do not self-inject procaine penicillin if you do not fully understand how to give the injection and properly dispose of used needles and syringes.
- Procaine penicillin must be injected slowly into a muscle of the buttock or upper thigh.
- Your procaine penicillin injections should be given at evenly spaced intervals.
- Procaine penicillin will not treat a viral infection such as the common cold or flu.
- Do not use extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
- Antibiotic medicines can cause diarrhea, which may be a sign of a new infection. If you have diarrhea that is watery or has blood in it, stop using this medication and call your doctor.
- Do not use any medicine to stop the diarrhea unless your doctor has told you to.Do not receive a "live" vaccine such as typhoid vaccine, cholera vaccine, or BCG.
- It may affect blood sugar level, monitor blood sugar regularly.
