Necitumumab is a monoclonal antibody that blocks a certain protein in the body that can affect tumor cell growth. Monoclonal antibodies are made to target and destroy only certain cells in the body. This may help to protect healthy cells from damage. Necitumumab is used to treat a certain type of non-small cell lung cancer. Necitumumab is usually given in combination with other cancer medications.

Precautions

This medication may make you more sensitive to the sun. Limit your time in the sun. Avoid tanning booths and sunlamps. Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors. Tell your doctor right away if you get sunburned or have skin blisters/redness. This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy. It may harm an unborn baby. Women of childbearing age should discuss the use of reliable forms of birth control with their doctors while using this medication and for at least 3 months after treatment has stopped. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, tell your doctor right away.

NECITUMUMAB over-dosage can result in: Head Headache, Nausea, Vomit

NECITUMUMAB : Abdomen Pain, Confusion, Decreased Urination, Difficulty Breathing, Drowsiness, Dry Mouth, Increased Thirst, Irregular Heartbeat, Loss Of Appetite, Mood Swings, Fatigue (tiredness), Weakness (generalized), Anxiety, Back Pain, Fainting, Rapid Heart Rate (pulse)

NECITUMUMAB can interfere with: Hypokalemia, Hypocalcemia, Magnesium Deficiency, Dermatitis, Purpura, Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic, Acute Liver Failure, Acute Renal Failure
