VINBLASTINE is a Schedule H drug.
Vinblastine is a cancer medication that interferes with the growth and spread of cancer cells in the body. Vinblastine is used to treat Hodgkin’s disease, certain types of lymphoma, testicular cancer, breast cancer, choriocarcinoma (a type of uterine cancer), Kaposi’s sarcoma, and Letterer-Siwe disease.

Route of Administration: IV (Intravenous)

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with history of infections, bone marrow problems, low blood cell counts, liver problems, undergoing radiation therapy, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It may reduce platelet counts; avoid injury of bruising. Avoid contact with eyes and mucus membranes. It may cause severe side effects such as sudden breathing problem, tightness in the lungs, sore throat, fever, chills, and sore mouth. If it is so consult with your doctor.

Symptoms of Overdosage

VINBLASTINE over-dosage can result in: Seizures (uncontrollable Jerking Of Limbs)

Serious Side-Effects

VINBLASTINE : Easy Bruising, Rapid Heart Rate (pulse), Abdomen Pain, Head Headache, Dizziness, Mood Swings, Pain With Urination, Blood Or Red Colored Urine

Rare Side-Effects

VINBLASTINE : Skin Rash, Shortness Of Breath, Wheezing, Black (tar) Colored Stools, Chest Pain, Fever, Chills, Throat Soreness
