EPROSARTAN is a Schedule H drug.Eprosartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Eprosartan keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which lowers blood pressure and improves blood flow.Eprosartan is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It is sometimes given together with other blood pressure medications.Eprosartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.

How Do I Take It?
Route of Administration: OralPrecautions
- You have been prescribed Eprosartan to improve your blood pressure.
- Lowering blood pressure reduces chances of future heart attack & strokes.
- It may also be used to treat chronic (long-standing) heart failure.
- It protects kidney function, which is especially useful for people with diabetes or mild-to-moderate kidney diseases.
- Eprosartan can make you feel dizzy for the first few days. Take it preferably at bedtime and rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
- Eprosartan may cause the level of potassium in blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli.
- Do not take Eprosartan during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Eprosartan.
- You should not use eprosartan if you are allergic to it.You may also need to avoid taking eprosartan with aliskiren if you have kidney disease.
- Follow all directions on your prescription label.
- Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
- Avoid getting up too fast from a sitting or lying position, or you may feel dizzy. Get up slowly and steady yourself to prevent a fall.
